About this knowledge base

Every case in this knowledge base comes from manufacturing and describes a project that was actually carried out at a manufacturing SME. One project is still running; that is noted with the case, and its figures will follow once it is finished. The cases were supplied by various digitalisation experts who guided such a project themselves. They shared their experience with us so that other entrepreneurs can learn from it.

We publish that knowledge with one aim: to inspire other manufacturers and to accelerate innovation in the region. So what you read here is what turned out to be possible in practice, which challenge came before it and what it delivered. All cases are anonymised: company names, partner names, locations and software brand names have been left out or replaced by a neutral description. The savings and percentages mentioned are indicative, come from the report of the expert involved and have not been independently verified.
