The challenge

• High volume: every order brings in a considerable number of certificates, all of which have to be checked.
• Wide variation in language and layout per supplier, making a uniform checking process impossible.
• Manual checking is error-prone; a missed deviation is an immediate quality and liability risk.

The solution

• The tool reads both the order and the certificate with OCR and uses a language model to test whether the values fall within the norm.
• Deviations are flagged automatically and recorded in a dashboard.
• Developed within the fieldlab and tested with real certificates and real orders.
